EXERT FROM APPENDIX 1 from Don Featherstone's Battles With Model Soldiers
(The book that got me started.)

"Nothing in these pages is a dictate, no word says you must or you shall do it this way. On the contrary, the book sets out from the very beginning to stimulate the reader to think for himself, and to use what he has read merely as a foundation for efforts and ideas which reflect his own temperament and character. Only in this way will he obtain maximum satisfaction from the hobby of battling with model soldiers."

Sitting on the Dock of the Bey or What I did today.

The first 54mm plastic figure that I've done in years.  Aficionados of soft plastic AWI in either scale will recognize the base for this Barbary Pirate chief.

  1. Hi Ross,

Very nice indeed! What make of figure is he? The whole Barbary coast thing is a special interest of mine and I love the idea of gaming something related to them in some fashion.

What are your plans for the said chap? He certainly looks as though he means business!

    All the best,

    DC
