EXERT FROM APPENDIX 1 from Don Featherstone's Battles With Model Soldiers
(The book that got me started.)

"Nothing in these pages is a dictate, no word says you must or you shall do it this way. On the contrary, the book sets out from the very beginning to stimulate the reader to think for himself, and to use what he has read merely as a foundation for efforts and ideas which reflect his own temperament and character. Only in this way will he obtain maximum satisfaction from the hobby of battling with model soldiers."

Bridge Over the River Skype -Teaser

Late in the day, a detachment of Royal Fusiliers steels itself against the oncoming Blue Guards.

This evening Lentulus dropped by via Skype to give the latest Hearts of Tin a work out. A full report will follow tomorrow but the rules worked as intended, the game was fun and closely fought. Here's a teaser from the second to last turn of a 4 hour game.

  1. I'm looking forward to reading the full account of the action . . . and looking at the photos, of course.
