Well it appears that I'm going to Huzzah in Maine come May and it appears the value of my Davy Crocket stockade is less than its postage. Add these two things to this being the bicentennial of the 2nd year of the war of 1812 and I decided to reduce the size of the stockade, fashion the bits into Ft. MacDuff and get that Ft. Meigs game ready for the road.

Very nice looking fort!
ReplyDeletePhil.
Thanks Phil there's lots to do but it looks promising.
DeleteRoss Mac,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like an excellent plan ... both for the fort and the trip to Huzzah!
All the best,
Bob
The good news is that it looks like the offcuts will be useful for siege batteries rather than be pure waste.
DeleteWhat happened to the attractive cabins perched on the fort wall corners? Or was that another fort. :)
ReplyDeleteThey went back to being cabins since they were't stable but yes than was the small 1/2 round fort.
