A lot of plastic animals work just fine . . . and some don't even need to be repainted.

-- JeffBluebear Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07595975572873838050noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2839601747923375105.post-61105828771031230172010-06-14T21:28:25.732-03:002010-06-14T21:28:25.732-03:00Nothing brings on an occasion to use an army like ...Nothing brings on an occasion to use an army like selling it! I'll keep that in mind as I ponder the fate of my 1812 troops.

The covered wagons are from Dollarstore cowboy & indian sets. I have 2 of the larger ones in the back which I used to use with my 54mm 1812 even though they were a little small. Just realized today that they work ok with the larger 40's. I just need to replace the front wheels with something smaller, will probably use PA cannon wheels. What I need though are some large 40mm oxen. Must check Irregular's website.Ross Mac rmacfa@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04053555991679802013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2839601747923375105.post-64703192275373374162010-06-14T21:23:14.397-03:002010-06-14T21:23:14.397-03:00Good point Jeff. even if I just added commander ca...Good point Jeff. even if I just added commander cards and let them activate a unit early.Ross Mac rmacfa@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04053555991679802013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2839601747923375105.post-39800855723000770322010-06-14T20:02:04.095-03:002010-06-14T20:02:04.095-03:00Oh this has made me regret the selling of my 40mm ...Oh this has made me regret the selling of my 40mm F&IW stuff last year...woe is me!! :(

btw who makes the wagons?littlejohnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02469282002961211617noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2839601747923375105.post-75005688587157300062010-06-14T20:01:03.500-03:002010-06-14T20:01:03.500-03:00Yes, the "wagon train" scenario is indee...Yes, the "wagon train" scenario is indeed a great one. We've played it several times with my rules.

I too think that I prefer letting the players pick which unit to activate as opposed to "specific units per card".

But, if you were to use specific units per card, the mechanism in "Victory Without Quarter" where all units within his command range can be activated when an officer's card is pulled would help a lot.

-- JeffBluebear Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07595975572873838050noreply@blogger.com
