EXCERPT FROM APPENDIX 1 from Don Featherstone's Battles With Model Soldiers
(The book that got me started.)

"Nothing in these pages is a dictate, no word says you must or you shall do it this way. On the contrary, the book sets out from the very beginning to stimulate the reader to think for himself, and to use what he has read merely as a foundation for efforts and ideas which reflect his own temperament and character. Only in this way will he obtain maximum satisfaction from the hobby of battling with model soldiers."

Erin Go Bragh

In the wake of recent defeats (not to mention the trouble caused by having so many unemployed discharged soldiers hanging about) the Oberhilse High Council has authorized new regiments of volunteers to replace the recently disbanded 2,3 and 4th regiments of the Oberhilse Field Force.
The cadre of the new Irish Battalion of Volunteers.
Happy St. Paddy's Day to all the Irish
(and wannabe Irish) who celebrate the event.

  1. I've got some home made Stout and a couple of cold Harp Lagers!
    Faugh a Ballagh!

  2. Happy St Patrick's day to you too Sir!

  3. I love these guys Ross. They look ready to invade Faraway, because nothing sends a message to England like invading Canada. To wit, I quote your fellow Nova Scotian and my history muse, Kate Beaton:

    1. Thanks, its been ages since I've read once of her strips.
