Winter is Going!

Spring is upon us!

And with Spring, comes a little bit more variety.

In  honour of their role in last May's victory, HM King Michael of Rosmark  has authorized the addition of a Grenadier company to the Pandours who will henceforth be known as The Border Regiment.
(Newly arrived PA Hungarian & Russian molds.)

I didn't do quite as much painting and playing as I'd planned over the winter but overall I accomplished more than hoped for since things have finally fallen into place after 7 years of searching, pondering, probing and testing.

I'm expecting a busy painting and playing season ahead but there are still 3 days of Winter left so still time for another game or two before the Winter Campaign Season ends.

  1. They look quite smart. I like the scarlet and black / dark blue? Very handsome.
Seven years is a lot of pondering.

    1. Black.Based on a Russian Pandour uniform in Kannik.

Wearisome long, esp as a 2nd bout. Still reassuring more than frustrating to end up where I began in 54mm 18 years ago.

  2. Their 40mm stuff is really quite excellent. Your colour choices are top notch - is that a bespoke uniform?

    1. The 2 original companies were inspired by rather than copied from Russian Pandour - frontier militia sort of in Kannik, same colour scheme but short jackets of a different design etc. The new Grenadiers are painted to match but in bearskins and with no conversion needed.

    1. Not unless they do a range of Turks for them to fight....... what I'd really like is a nice, generic General.

I agree, I am waiting for command for most of my armies. I can swing it - after the French infantry and the Austrian cuirassier. I have discussed it with them, and it is planned.

(The change to digital sculpting has been REALLY difficult, but hopefully things should start moving again soon, I may be getting some French moulds next week - perhaps)

If you have any good prints of what you fancy send them, or links, and I will open a discussion on the blog.
