Chanaaaaaaaa_ng Arms!!
The work will probably be intermittent and slow, but it has begun. The Turkish cavalry's pistols and carbines are being changed for bows or lances.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Montreal 7 decades ago. Began playing with toy soldiers at 5 years. Started painting & converting at about 12 yrs and wargaming about 15 yrs. Never really stopped.
5 years in the Black Watch of Canada Cadets, 5 years at the Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean followed by 4 in the navy. 25 years with CPC in IT simultaneous with 23 years running a boarding kennel. Inherited my love of toy soldiers from my mother's father. Married with a pack of litle Italian Greyhounds and a cat. Prematurely retired and enjoying leisure to game, maintaining our 170 yr old farmhouse and just living.

ReplyDeleteUhhmmm, not too often...., and only when I have decided to drop a "period" but can reuse some figures, or want to keep them because I like them, and can make them fit in with with a little bit of work. by a minor adjustment.
Deleteeg I staged a 1799 French in Egypt game at a Convention but once that was done I didn't have a desire to keep playing it and I don't have much storage space but I hung on to them until I found another purpose but a little research on the Turks as an enemy for my 16thC troops but discovered that the Turkish cavalry were not using firearms yet.
So an hour or two of hobby time is enough transform them from late 18thC to early 16thC.
