Its that time of the year, getting ready for winter, cutting and stacking firewood, trying to manage water supplies after more than 3 months of drought, sorting out and reorganizing miniatures for North America from the 1740's to 1760, casting, painting, and on and on.
Its time for a game! The rest can wait.
"Sergeant Major! Clear the table! Get work parties together, ready to set up terrain as instructed!"

Yeah, but my table's not big enough these days.
DeleteWe anticipate ! , nice to see the Prince August take the field again.

DeleteBraw recruiting laddie. Did the Duchess offer a kiss for every man?
ReplyDeleteAlan Tradgardland
Have you ever seen the old Duchess? The men were all steady in the ranks, eyes front! ...
DeleteAutumn! I've got apples to collect (poor harvest) then branches to cut. Wait for the first frosts - bumper harvest of sloes so the gin factory is looking good. Also final Ride of the Valkries. I mean, grass cutting on a John Deere that threatens to topple over on the flat. Reminder; check I've got enough petrol for the thing. Oh yeah, then there's a few wargamingthings to do...
ReplyDeleteI just spotted 3 more ripe apples on our revived tree. I'm waiting for my 'standby in case I fall off the ladder' person to get home!
