We interrupt this blog for this flash report....

Yes, the Martians have landed at Ron's house. These are from the All Quite on the Martian Front range by well who ever makes it. Nice models and the game was fun despite the rule booklet's occasional lapses into unintelligible English and skewed points (which we ignored).

I'm not sure yet how much depth it has but we will play again. I might even finally build the Reviresco Martian Tripod that I bought 10 years ago.

  1. I have a soft spot for Martian tripods ever since I first heard Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds album as an undergrad, and before that, I guess, the Classic comics version of WOTW from grade school. I've seen some very interesting projects on blogs of late, and would love to see your own tripod model.

  5. Looks like a lot of fun - impressive too - is that cotton wool splat a hit on a tripod, or are the Martians using gunpowder?

    1. After losing 7 of his original 9 stands, reinforcements figured out how to blow one up. A relieved and jubilent Ron was trying to pry the top of the modrl off when I suggested a puff of smoke.
