Now It Begins
Born and raised in the suburbs of Montreal, 5 years in the Black Watch of Canada Cadets, 5 years at the Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean followed by 4 in the navy. 25 years with CPC in IT simultaneous with 23 years running a boarding kennel. Inherited my love of toy soldiers from my mother's father. Married with a pack of Italian Greyhounds and 3 cats. Prematurely retired and enjoying leisure to game, maintaining our 160 yr old farmhouse and just living.

DeleteAnd so do I! The combination of the individual soldiers and the 'old school' stepped hills looks very attractive, reminiscent of Wells's Little Wars. Although I use much smaller figures, that is the effect I would like to create for my games - but on the much smaller table that fits in my study.
ReplyDeleteDid those guardsmen deliberately destroy the roof of that cottage to improve their field of fire, or do they claim it was like that already?
No no. They carefully undo the roofs and put them aside then replace them when the battles over. Don't want public complaints!
