Just a Roll, Just A Roll Of The Dice

"and the Wargame has begun".   ( not an exact quote of Fairport Convention's "Sloth"

OHW Scenario 12: An Unfortunate Oversight.

It feels good to have a game on the rable again!

  1. Nice song. Been a Fairport fan for years - actually saw them in Liverpool in the 70s. Can't remember a female singer at that concert - sure I would remember seeing either of them - main impression was Dave Swarbrick bouncing on and off the stage playing his fiddle like someone totally demented!

    1. I heard 'Tam Lin' on the 'underground' rock station in Montreal c '73 and went out bought the album and was hooked. Bought Full House and Nine later and while all were well played, Liege and Leaf is still my favourite. TG for Youtube because while I still have the records, I don't have a player!

Sandy dropped out in the mid 70's shortly before her death and I'm not sure they every replaced her.

    1. Those travelling salesmen, they often manage to get a toe in the door but the hounds clear them out quickly enough.

  5. One of my favorite OHW scenarios! I don't think I have ever succeeded in capturing the hill as the attacker by fighting my way through the town. Even when going via the ford, I find it's still a tough one - although with the cavalry leading the way it looks like Blue might have a good chance of getting there, if not first, at least very soon after Red.
