Still Carrying On

Its been another one of those non hobby weeks. My intention has always been to limit non hobby related posts but life does seem to keep cropping up as does death.
For the past 4 1/2 years we have been caring for my wife's invalid mother. On Monday morning, 3 weeks shy of her 92nd birthday, she slipped away peacefully in her  sleep. As good a way to go as any.
Needless to say it has not been a hobby week but life goes on despite changes. I'm once again left in some indecision as to which figures in which quantities to make then paint for my main interest so I've plucked some ready to paint figures off the shelf to paint for something else. Almost time for the annual Prince Valiant game as Prince Michael escorts the Mysterious Green Damsel through the Perilous Forest.

  2. Sorry to hear about your mother. My own mother is 86 and in poor health, though not with us. Thinking of you and your family.

    1. Thanks Peter. Probably from my Roy St days, that's a decade or three ago!

  6. Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law, Ross. Inevitable of course, but when the parents go it still brings the sense of our own mortality closer into focus. Well, here's to many more years for you and your wife.

    Regards,
    Steve
