Almost there

Now that my painting stuff has once again been transferred up to my gaming room, these guys have been finished and a first coat of varnish applied.  Just need to do the basing thing.

I'm not sure if it was my shaky hands or my fuzzy eyes that were the most trouble but as toy soldiers I'm happy with them.

Saturday's plan to join in on another 15mm Napoleonic game has been scuppered when Jeff lost the venue. Its only postponed but I'm starting to think about a Saturday Solo Game instead.

Speaking of which don't forget to vote! NQSYW has a lead at the moment.
(See header for details and sidebar for current standing).

  1. I really like how the figures have come out. The toy soldier look works for me too. Can’t wait to see them on the tabletop in action. I think personally l am less used to seeing this period in a glossy toy soldier look and it certainly lends itself really well to such a look.

    1. It'll be a few months before I have enough units for even a small skirmish with stand ins.

  2. They look good. Re 7YW in 'the lead', seems reasonable, though prefer Colonials for large scales myself.

  3. Looking good Ross, stripey trousers can be tricky things. Lovely figures.

    1. Thanks. Painting anything is getting harder every year and strioes are one of those things which should be near invisible if done in scale so its a matter for 'artistic license' and these days, hoping no one looks too closely during the game!

  4. Love the stripey trousers.

Would like to see Square Brigadier in WW1 for the mini campaign.

    1. The west front lads were disbanded at the end of the war and are largely serving elsewhere now but I can do the Oerberg lot, at leaast they are in drab and have modern artillery and MG's and the occasional armoured car.

  5. Like the Prince, I like the stripey trousered chaps. They all look very revolutionary

  7. Coming along nicely. Sadly, stripey pants were never an option for me . . . .
