The Third Oerberg War sir, early 20thC. Its been a year since they've seen action now due to the proposed reorg which you just cancelled. Oom Bob has reported the Oerberg and some Kapelle rebel forces ready but the Dominion forces aren't quite finished undoing the summer reorg and the new armoured car needs a few finishing touches.
A rather fuzzy looking lot Captain. Better get that cleared up before the game. |
Should be good to go by Friday sir.
Looking forward to it. I clicked on the picture and zoomed in. Lots of interesting troops readying themselves.
ReplyDeleteNothing new yet.Maybe next year.
DeleteIt will be nice to see these troops in action again. The Naval gun is particularly splendid.
ReplyDeleteI just repatriated the crew. They've been in the 1850s in white bellbottoms for a bit.
DeleteRoss Mac,
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting and eclectic collection of troops! I look forward to seeing how they fair in the forthcoming fighting.
All the best,
Bob
Bit of a menagerie but they collectively tick several boxes.
DeleteWhat a great collection, good to see the Jacklex Naval gun - where did you get that other Boer looking one?
ReplyDeleteScratch built from various $ store cheap plastic ww2 guns cut up, mucked about and mounted on wagon wheels.
DeleteLooking serious! Nice.
ReplyDeleteHopefully not too serious. Have to build a mountain pass now.
DeleteLooks like we are in for a treat with this lot. Naval gun and armoured car, oh goody goody goody!
ReplyDeleteRegards, James
Classic nondescript improbable fictional colonial toy soldier stuff :)
DeleteA fine looking army, Ross - I should say, perhaps, Expeditionary Force, for that is what it looks like. An army with its own personality. Have to say, though, that the armoured car presents a rather grisly sight - all that ... erm ... PINK doncha know.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Ion
That's the way the factory delivered it. Undercoat on for the picture. Now painted but I messed up the mixing so the colour's not quite the green I wanted.
DeleteHi Ross -
DeleteActually I thought the a/car's external colour scheme looked rather good!
Cheers,
Ion
