It's been nearly 20 years since my 1812 shrank from 54mm to 40mm and then had to go through various reorganizations and drill books.

"Never say never " but I'm satisfied that my old ways suit me best so I'm once again settling on 60mm wide bases for almost everything.

Born and raised in the suburbs of Montreal, 5 years in the Black Watch of Canada Cadets, 5 years at the Collège militaire royal de Saint-Jean followed by 4 in the navy. 25 years with CPC in IT simultaneous with 23 years running a boarding kennel. Inherited my love of toy soldiers from my mother's father. Married with a pack of Italian Greyhounds and 3 cats. Prematurely retired and enjoying leisure to game, maintaining our 160 yr old farmhouse and just living.

There is a lot to be said for standard basing, if only to make one set of terrain items work with multiple periods.
DeleteAn impressive looking bunch. I rather like the 6-figures per base. Must prevent myself from re-basing my own figures to that now!
