EXERT FROM APPENDIX 1 from Don Featherstone's Battles With Model Soldiers
(The book that got me started.)

"Nothing in these pages is a dictate, no word says you must or you shall do it this way. On the contrary, the book sets out from the very beginning to stimulate the reader to think for himself, and to use what he has read merely as a foundation for efforts and ideas which reflect his own temperament and character. Only in this way will he obtain maximum satisfaction from the hobby of battling with model soldiers."

Merry Christmas and Tanks to all!

My best wishes for a Merry Yule to all those who take time to read my tablet pokings. May your days grow longer and brighter through the winter ahead.

Tanks to all!
& A Merry Christmas!

And an especial thanks to those who have dropped a comment now and then and reassured me that it's not just me and the bots out here.

  1. Oh no. You are most definitely not alone, Ross. I read your blog, every post, and archive many of them in Feedly so that I can find good ideas, which are plentiful.

Merry Christmas my friend. To you and yours,

    Will

  9. Merry Christmas Ross. I agree with Mr. Kinch on the Vickers model, what is its origin?

    1. Thanks Peter and to you and Lynn and Katie. The Mk VI is a rare indulgence off ebay, 1950's vintage Dinky Toy. I was hoping it would be about 1/43 like some of the other Dinky's I've had buit looks closes to 1/50. Still for my purposes it will do.
