There was a soldier

A Scottish soldier.

And a squadron of Republican French Hussards. Can they take him? Should he take his musket off his shoulder now?

  1. Poor Frenchies - they don’t stand a chance.

  2. A Scotsman interrupted going about his peaceful business - its gonna be a bad day for the French.

  3. The cavalry may be outmatched... The unit looks good; another 11 Highlanders next?

    1. Depends on which way you mean it. The tartan is the Government Sett, better known as Black Watch but worn initially by several units. Its his red hackle (a few years premature) and the Blue facings of a Royal regiment that mark him as Black Watch. But if you're asking what he's wearing underneath, well......
