Finally, battle is joined.
I was a little disconcerted at first to find that various favoured mechanisms proved unsuitable for the task in hand. However, it didn't take long to resurrect some even older mechanisms and the game is now flowing.
Is it on the right track? We'll see!
Well it looks good, so that's a good start :-)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to hearing more . They game does look good.
ReplyDeleteRoss Mac,
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the complete battle report.
All the best,
Bob
Good old Airfix !
ReplyDeleteLovely photo Ross, great to see those Airfix figures on the table again, reminds me of the old Airfix guide to wargaming the ACW, one of my favourite books. There is a new generation of 1/72nd plastic ACW's about to be released by HaT, a set of marching figures (or more likely 2 sets) in fully accurate uniforms including full sized cartridge boxes, all at right shoulder shift arms pose and marching rather than standing. They could well tempt me back into this period :) Would mix very well with the Airfix set.
ReplyDeleteLooks like things are heating up!
ReplyDeleteBest Regards,
Stokes
Airfix still works for games like this - I still turn up a few Aifix ACW figures when I'm rooting about in the attic.
ReplyDeleteHi Ross- Nice to see your vintage AIRFIX for ACW...big battles are good. KEV.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it works well, but it looks fantastic!
