Three more cavalrymen ready for paint.
I am wavering between 4 or 6 figure cavalry units so have decided to paint up 12 Mamlukes so that I can do either 3x4 or 2x6 figure units. After all, this is going to be just an exotic sideshow, a few little skirmishes...right?
An “exotic sideshow” and “a few little skirmishes”? Let’s see if you can keep to that project scope. Good looking sculpts.
ReplyDeleteWell, with big figures on a small table, you only really have two choices, small actions or turn to V&B or similar where a couple of guys on a stand represent a battalion or brigade and I've been there done that. Just getting into the lower level stuff so there is the draw of something new!
DeleteRight.
ReplyDeleteStill got my contemporary West Indies barely started, or my naval landing parties, Chouans in Brittany and my Irish rebellion is still only a glimmer........
DeleteThey look great. Here's to 'mission creep', in the nicest possible way..
ReplyDeleteThe plan is to creep sideways to multiple fronts rather than bigger actions or I'll be crawling around on the floor!
DeleteReally enjoying these. And don't kid yourself ;)
ReplyDeleteI never kid myself! Willfully ignore evidence yes, kid, nope......:)
DeleteThese are looking great. It will be interesting to see them in action on the table top…
ReplyDeleteAlan
There will some little scuffle this weekend.
Delete"just a few little skirmishes...." And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you enter the Rabbit Hole. The figures look marvelous, Ross. Another amazing job.
