Hi Ross- We were at an outdoor Cafe' having Capichino locally - at 11:00am sharp we fell silent for over a minute- across the way a Truck Driver stood at attention outside his cab...I believe Rememberance Day is named 'Veterans Day' in the USA. 60,000 Australian Soldiers gave their lives in WW1- My Great Uncle Edgar served in Europe with the AIF and didn't return home to Rural NSW -being burried at Reading War Hospital ENGLAND just prior to Armistice. Regards. KEV.
