The most recent solo game was enjoyable enough, but......... there were a couple of little issues. Mostly they came from backing into this every developing "project" (though I hate the term for an open ended hobby undertaking,). I'll write more on the issues later but the short term result was to decide that I needed to enlarge my existing infantry units slightly, from 12 to 16 for line infantry, and from 6 to 8 for light infantry, with the option to detach 4 figure "companies" to occupy houses or provide an outpost and so on.

Turning to the QM store of cast bits and bodies I started on the Hessians. The Highlanders and Emigres will follow and then the French.

This should keep me occupied for a week or two.
Lots of lead loveliness here. I look forward to seeing them complete their training and March off to battle.

DeleteThis was a mid 19thC farmhouse. There are few, if any, floor spaces bigger than my table unless I evict all the furniture! (But if I did, i could put a big table in again...)

DeleteAs one who uses the word "project" I realise that it is made in the belief that I really am in charge of the collections destiny. Then along comes the shiny new idea and before you now it you have a lead pile as big as the one you just thought you had finally nailed. Which is a long winded way of describing the concept of "delusional"!
ReplyDeleteI spent too many work hours on Projects with budgets, deadlines, targets, progress reviews and end etc to want any of that in my hobby. I like to to think of every new period, scale, etc will be there for the rest of my life, unless I lose interest......
