So I've fixed up a couple of my War of 1812 heads to match slightly larger figures better. While I was at it, since I hate working with metal moulds, I slightly modified a Meisterzinn infantry body to use as British with below the knee gaiters, and threw him in.
Tomorrow I'll see how I did. Hopefully I'll be able to spit out and paint the rest of the figures I need in fairly short order.

DeleteFingers are crossed that the mold came out well! I am fascinated by this process - but no matter how many times I read about how to do it, I'm too nervous to actually try it.

DeleteExcellent Ross, I haven't done a new mold in about a year. Need to get cracking on selling some chess sets then I could afford to process new molds.
ReplyDeleteThere is a certain satisfaction but when this stock of RTV is done I don't thing I'll replace it anytime soon.
DeleteAre you planning a Revolutionary War game at Huzzah this year? What scale figures are you using? If they are 40mm, I can return the favor of the 54's you gave me. I have a bunch of individually mounted 40mm AWI all painted and ready to go (they have been on furlough for the last five years or so).
ReplyDeleteThanks Alan, I appreciate the offer. We are planning a Revolutionary War game using A Gentleman's War and....the Scarlet Pimpernel. Ah.. yeh, the French Revolution. Not sure the 1776 guys would fit in and I sold my collection of 40mm AWI a few years back when the group here gave it up.
