One last set of pictures of this scenario. The next game will be a different scenario or a different era, or both! The next post might be one about the rules, or something altogether different.
Second attempt to breakout. |
So far the plan is working! |
Bloody stubborn Grenadiers and Highlanders! Didn't even give them any special treatment! |
And its heigh ho and back we go. (Sorry about the fuzzy pictures, the cameraman was behind the Blue lines and in a hurry to get out of harms way!) |
A full table filed with toy soldier delights and scenery. Your tables have a great look whatever period you are fighting. I look forward to seeing more.
ReplyDeleteThanks, "We try"!
DeleteThat's a tough nut to crack - I assume that Blue outnumbered Red, but by what proportion?
ReplyDeleteTough nut for both sides. Red is only 1 unit smaller than Blue but technically, this game was a draw since Red waited too long to launch its own attack and time ran out before Blue could be swept back over the river and the bridgehead eliminated.
DeleteHighlanders and Grenadiers a great combination ! .
ReplyDeleteIts the tall hats!
DeleteGood game.Always nice when the good guys win.
ReplyDeleteYeah but there's also a bit of Rebel in me.
DeleteHi Ross- Very crisp and colorful photos of the action. I do like the red jacketed GUARDS-they are a favorite. Cheers. KEV.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kev!
DeleteGreat looking game. How many games, scales, periods and rule sets has this old chestnut provided you?
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to think of which period and scale its hasn't .......
