Plum Run: Trailer

It was another hot sunny day but duty called!

And so it began!

My phone was having trouble with the bright sunshine (and so was I)  so I set up a beach umbrella thingie to provide some relief. Worked for me but my phone became even more confused when it was pointed at both at the same time so the exposure, colours and autofocusing are not quite up to par but none the less, a battle report shall follow tomorrow.

    1. It was 'supposed' to stay below 30 yesterday and maybe have some clouds but by the time I was done I was wondering if I had just fried my skin or if the last 3 months had prepared it, and it had.

    2. In my part of the world, highs are forecast for at least 100F through Sunday. That’s hot!

    3. Yes it is. Of course my memories of the West Coast are of a relatively dry heat, not nearly as oppressive. With the humidity added in the "feels like temperature" has been up as high as 39C eq 102F. Either way thats hotter than I would like! :)

  2. It always feels disappointing when the camera does ‘not see’ the same thing as the MK I eyeball, but I think it is usually the case that the photographer rightly criticises the differences, while everyone else typically enjoys the shot for what it is, without the comparison to make a critical judgement.

The boys in red look as ready as they will ever be!

    1. True enough, but with a bit of cloud cover and a camera one isn't constantly fighting against, its easier for even a hack like me to get a couple of shots that reflect what it actually looked like , Luckily, I wasn't burning up film, just borrowing space on the memory card.

    1. Me too, I swore to myself that I wouldn't try to recreate my 15mm version from last century but its the perfect horse and musket era, got a bit of everything and historically balanced results allowing more scope for scenarios

    1. One does get occasional flashes of the "my aren't I drinking cold beer in the shade..." but its a liberating experience.

  6. Temperatures better in the UK at the moment - expected 27C high on Sturday, next couple of weeks could be as low as 22 in the daytime. Baked a plum pie couple of days ago. Tried some jam as well but it wouldn't set. No problem - plenty more plums out there.
