Stand Down

Fresh from the painting desk, Colonel Nolan was eager to see action. His spirits rose in anticipation as a staff officer approached.

Jonny Dhu, as his men quickly named him, was in for a disappointment though. A truce had been agreed to and the army was to stand down and resume training and reorganization until further orders were received in early January.

  1. Colonel Nolan... I see a momentous cavalry charge somewhere down the line...

  2. Thats a very nice addition, Ross, splendid work and fits in perfectly. I have not been able to complete a single thing but did paint strip, replace broken heads and rifles, repair with milliput, and prime a large number of figures. It had to be done but would have liked a completed project to show for it lol.

  3. Belated holiday greetings to you and yours, Ross. You've done a splendid job of painting up that staff officer. Hope your lads enjoy their time in winter quarters and don't get into too much moonshine and mischief.

  4. He came up really well in his dressy uniform. Who'd have guessed that a blue-belly underneath was a Reb on the outside?!
